Hello! Over the past 2 weeks, our team has been doing a few different types of ministry. The YWAM base is currently in the process of moving so our team was able to help with some of the final stages of construction of the new base for a few days. After that, we headed out to another village on the river for the next 10 days! We have shared many times in the churches, visited many houses to pray for people, helped a church with some yard clean up, and built a relationship with the community. We have seen the Lord encourage many people through the devotions we have been sharing while visiting their homes! They are hungry to learn more about what following Jesus looks like through relationship.
One day while our team was doing house visits, we came across a family where the mom and son both had injuries. They also hadn’t been able to sleep in peace for a long time. We shared encouragement with them and prayed that God would heal both of them and that they could receive peaceful rest. The next day the lady came to where we were staying to tell us that both of the mom and son felt no more pain and they were able to sleep peacefully!! The pain in the mom’s shoulder felt so much better that she was even able to climb the tree to get açaà to make for the family!
This is just one testimony showing how our God is living and active! Our team has been experiencing how showing God’s love can look in many ways. Sometimes that can look like going to visit someone at their home and praying for them, and other times that can be helping the church with their yard work. God wants to use all of it, and you never know what miracle may happen through our obedience!
